At a Sydney childcare centre, a toddler went missing for up to 10 minutes before staff were alerted via a headcount. Due to this incident, the childcare operators have been fined $14,000.

An Educator, working in Sydney's North Shore childcare centre, had a decision overturned which awarded him $238,000 for a defamatory email sent to 35 families which stated that the educator was no longer at the centre due to "disciplinary actions" sent by the director of the centre.

In Sydney’s northern suburbs, children and families from a childcare centre are undergoing testing for the coronavirus over fears they were exposed during a visit to a nearby aged care facility.

With the sad news, of a child who had recently died on a Goodstart childcare bus in Cairns, last week,  in NSW another little boy was also forgotten inside a bus with severe dehydration for 6 hours. On the Gold Coast, a 15-month-old baby ended up in hospital emergency from also being left on the bus.
