Recently Munch and Move launched a free eLearning program for Educators working in Long Day Care Services, Preschools, Occasional Care and FDC Services. The training contains videos, interactive activities and reflective practice questions to embed healthy eating and physical activity within the service.
The training is self-paced (on average, it takes approximately 3 hours) and can be completed over multiple occasions.
The training is also supported by a forum where educators can share their experiences implementing Munch & Move and learn practical tips from other educators across NSW. The forum is moderated by training and development officers and early childhood education experts from the Early Childhood Training and Resource Centre.
Once you have completed training, you will receive a certificate of completion and your details will be provided to a Munch & Move Support Officer from your Local Health District. Your Support Officer will provide your service with program resources and ongoing support to implement Munch & Move in your service. For family day care, this support is provided at your service provider (previously scheme) level. Service providers must be trained in Munch & Move to receive this support.
