National Reconciliation Week Resources For Early Childhood Services

By May 25, 2019

From 27 May to 3 June is National Reconciliation Week. This week gives an important opportunity for the Australian community to learn about the shared histories, cultures and achievements between the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and by creating respectful relationships with one another.

For Educators, this enables you to have open discussions with children on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culture and community and begin to include this as part of your everyday routine.

The theme of this National Reconciliation Week for this year is "Grounded In Truth, Walk Together in Courage" and for Early Childhood Services, there is a range of Resources available that can be included into the curriculum.

Narragunnawali's early learning resources promote reconciliation to strengthen children's understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions and can be adapted as per your requirements. Resources available also encompass elements of the EYLF.
